Für unsere deutsche Organisation suchen wir einen Country Accountant, der für eine genaue, vollständige und termingerechte Finanzadministration verantwortlich ist. Du arbeitest für drei deutsche Gesellschaften innerhalb der Pieter Smit Group. Eine Gesellschaft konzentriert sich auf Eventkunden, eine auf Containerlagerung und Studiovermietung und eine auf Fahrzeuge.

Das bedeutet, dass du nah am Geschäft arbeitest und direkt siehst, wie deine Arbeit den täglichen Betrieb unterstützt.

Als Country Accountant bist du verantwortlich für Finanzadministration, Reporting, Cash Management und Projektregistrierung. Du arbeitest nach den Richtlinien der Gruppe und stellst gleichzeitig sicher, dass lokale Gesetze, Steuervorschriften und Rechnungslegungsstandards eingehalten werden.

Du arbeitest eng zusammen mit dem Country Manager, dem Group Controller, Finanzkollegen in anderen Ländern, Planung, Operations, Sales und externen Wirtschaftsprüfern.

Was wirst du tun?

Du betreust die tägliche Finanzadministration für drei deutsche Gesellschaften. Dazu gehören:

• Hauptbuch

• Eingangsrechnungen

• Kreditkarten

• Ausgangsrechnungen

• Intercompany-Abrechnung

• Banktransaktionen

• Debitorenmanagement

Du bereitest Monatsabschlüsse und regelmäßige Reports nach Gruppenstandards vor. Dazu gehören das Bilden von Rückstellungen, die Erfassung passiver Rechnungsabgrenzungen und die Buchung von Abschreibungen.

Du überwachst Bilanzpositionen, führst Abstimmungen durch und erkennst Abweichungen. Außerdem lieferst du dem Group Controller rechtzeitig vollständige Informationen für die Konsolidierung.

Du unterstützt externe Wirtschaftsprüfer bei Prüfungen und sorgst dafür, dass lokale gesetzliche Verpflichtungen erfüllt werden.

Auch die Projektregistrierung ist ein wichtiger Teil deiner Rolle. Du erstellst Projektcodes, ordnest Aktivitäten zu und stellst sicher, dass alle relevanten Kosten den richtigen Projekten zugeordnet werden. Denk dabei an Kraftstoff, Maut, Freelancer, Hotels und andere Projektkosten.

Wer bist du?

Du arbeitest genau, analytisch und pragmatisch. Du möchtest, dass Zahlen stimmen, aber du schaust auch über die reine Administration hinaus. Du erkennst, wo Prozesse verbessert werden können, und denkst mit über Effizienz, Automatisierung und bessere Managementinformationen.

Du kommunizierst leicht mit finanziellen und nicht finanziellen Kollegen. Vom Country Manager bis zu den Planern, von Sales bis zu Wirtschaftsprüfern. Du erklärst Zahlen klar und weißt, wann du die richtigen Fragen stellen musst.

Du bringst mit:

• Mindestens 3 Jahre Erfahrung in der Finanzadministration oder im Accounting

• Einen Bachelorabschluss in Finance, Accounting, Betriebswirtschaft oder einem vergleichbaren Bereich

• Kenntnisse der deutschen Rechnungslegungsstandards, Umsatzsteuerregeln und des Financial Reporting

• Gute Deutsch- und Englischkenntnisse

• Affinität zu Projektcontrolling oder zur Entertainmentbranche ist ein Plus

Build the financial backbone of our German organization.

At Pieter Smit Group, everything is about movement. From European tours and festivals to studios, vehicles and rental solutions. Behind the scenes, everything needs to be right. Not only on the road, but also in the numbers.

For our German organisation, we are looking for a Country Accountant who will be responsible for accurate, complete and timely financial administration. You will work for three German entities within the Pieter Smit Group: one focused on event clients, one on container storage and studio rental and one on vehicles.

This means you work close to the business and see directly how your work supports the daily operation.

As Country Accountant, you are responsible for financial administration, reporting, cash management and project registration. You work according to group guidelines, while also making sure local laws, tax rules and accounting standards are followed.

You will work closely with the Country Manager, Group Controller, finance colleagues in other countries, planning, operations, sales and external auditors.

What will you do? 

You manage the daily financial administration for three German companies. This includes:

• General ledger

• Purchase invoices

• Credit cards

• Sales invoices

• Intercompany invoicing

• Bank transactions

• Debtor management

You prepare month-end closing and periodic reports according to group standards. This includes creating accruals, registering deferred income and booking depreciation.

You monitor balance sheet positions, perform reconciliations and identify deviations. You also deliver timely and complete input for consolidation to the Group Controller.

You support external auditors during audits and make sure local statutory obligations are met.

Project registration is also an important part of your role. You create project codes, allocate activities and make sure all relevant costs are assigned to the right projects. Think of fuel, toll, freelancers, hotels and other project costs.

Who are you? 

You are accurate, analytical and practical. You like numbers to be correct, but you also look beyond the administration. You see where processes can be improved and you think along about efficiency, automation and better management information.

You communicate easily with both financial and non-financial colleagues. From the Country Manager to planners, from sales to auditors. You explain figures clearly and know when to ask the right questions.

You have:

• At least 3 years of experience in financial administration or accounting

• A bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Economics or a related field

• Knowledge of German accounting standards, VAT rules and financial reporting

• Good command of German and English

• Affinity with project accounting or the entertainment industry is a plus What do we offer?
