We are pleased to announce that MM Band Services, a leading UK-based specialist in artist and crew transportation, has officially joined the Pieter Smit Group. With a large fleet of premium Nightliners, MM Band Services is one of the key players in the UK market.

Pieter Smit Group has officially expanded its fleet with the addition of 41 new Mercedes-Benz Actros 1848 4x2 low deck trucks. Delivered by our long-term mobility partner GomesTrucks, these vehicles are immediately being deployed for local theater productions and intensive international event tours across Europe.

The future of transport is electric. With zero-emission zones expanding across Dutch cities and a nationwide deadline fast approaching in 2030, emission-free transport is no longer just a choice, it is the new industry standard. For the performing arts and event sectors, this means one thing: we need to anticipate, adapt, and switch now.

It is a frequently asked question in our industry: how far can you really go with an electric tractor unit? Together with Jakop Ahlbom Company, we will provide the answer at the end of April by setting course for Italy with the production 'Lebensraum'. This marks the very first time an international theater tour on this scale will be executed entirely electrically.
